Curriculum & program development

I have led and supported THEC new-program proposals and cross-college curriculum development. Work includes undergraduate programs in information sciences, innovative transdisciplinary studies, applied artificial intelligence, and data science.

I led undergraduate program development at SIS from 2016 to 2019, including feasibility and stakeholder research, curriculum collaboration, and institutional and state approval processes. The bachelor’s program launched in Fall 2019.

Stackable certificates

I collaborated with faculty across UTK to develop eight certificates approved by the Undergraduate Council:

  • Applied Artificial Intelligence
  • Applied Cybersecurity
  • Artificial Intelligence and Medicine
  • Data Science
  • Literacy on Emerging Technologies
  • Game Craft
  • Integrating Artificial Intelligence and Music
  • Sustainability Development Goals

Faculty & institutional leadership

My administrative work has included faculty governance, academic planning, search processes, and collaboration across colleges and departments.

Transfer pathways

I collaborated with Tennessee Board of Regents leadership and UTK Enrollment Management on an agreement involving all 13 Tennessee community colleges, establishing transfer pathways into CECS undergraduate degrees beginning Fall 2024.

Leadership development

Professional development includes UTK’s Leadership Institute (2017–2018) and the Women in Leadership certificate program through Harvard’s Division of Continuing Education (2023).
